SloMoVo [Slow (Almost Silent) Voice Experiments]
نویسندگان
چکیده
SloMoVo is mostly inaudible voice/grunts/hums triggering synths generated in real-time. It throat synthing: making silence into sound. Each word makes a mountain. breath begins tide. asks: how do tiny seemingly inconsequential gestures of our lives reverberate through networks? How potent the impotent unheard voice when augmented with tech? What effect does or repressed invisible have on resonance universe? Is network technology and media software capable expanding identity? resonant frequency society?

Experiments with voice modelling in speech synthesis
Some experiments with voice modelling using reccnl dcvelopmcnts of the KTH spccch synthesis systcm will bc presented. The ncw synthesizer, GLOVE, is an extended version of OVE 111. I t contains an improved glottal source built on the LF-model and some extra conlrol parameters for the voiced and noise sources and an extra polc/zcro-pair in the nasal branch. متن کاملExperiments with a Slow Neutron Velocity Spectrometer
Neutron bursts were produced by modulation of the arc source of a small cyclotron. Neutrons subsequently slowed down in paraffin were detected by a BF3ionization chamber and linear amplifier. Modulation of an additional amplifier allowed the counting of all detected. neutrons as well as those arriving in a specified time interval. Time of flight experiments were carried out at 3.0 meters with "...
متن کاملOptic Flow Experiments for Slow Motion
Prediction error analysis is a known method for evaluating the performance of optic flow algorithms. This paper applies this method to long image sequences with a special focus on opportunities when using metronome sequences. Two top-performing algorithms are discussed, known as TV-L1 and BBPW.
متن کاملStatistical Analysis of Slow Crack Growth Experiments
A common approach for the determination of Slow Crack Growth (SCG) parameters are the static and dynamic loading method. Since materials with small Weibull module show a large variability in strength, a correct statistical analysis of the data is indispensable. In this work we propose the use of the Maximum Likelihood method and a Baysian analysis, which, in contrast to the standard procedures,...
متن کاملSlow crack growth: models and experiments
The properties of slow crack growth in brittle materials are analyzed both theoretically and experimentally. We propose a model based on a thermally activated rupture process. Considering a 2D spring network submitted to an external load and to thermal noise, we show that a preexisting crack in the network may slowly grow because of stress fluctuations. An analytical solution is found for the e...
